Chanan (Glasgow) is a Christian charity, operating in the voluntary sector and offering free help to those who use its services. It was founded in 2009 and the name was chosen deliberately to symbolise the compassion of God, providing opportunity and hope to those leading a lifestyle of despair. Our aim is to help people to progress and move on - to take steps away from the trap they find themselves in -and help them to 'Rebuild (their) Broken Lives'.

Chanan works on the streets and in the prisons of Glasgow, challenging the menace of homelessness, poverty, neglect, family breakdown, alcohol and drug abuse. We seek to draw alongside those in need and to offer the support necessary to rebuild their lives. In this way we demonstrate the love and compassion of our Lord Jesus Christ.
